How many gamers are ready to lose?" - "Straight Outta Blood Gulch" by T-Bag
It's been 123 days since I started the Achievement/Gaming Stat page on TheWired dot INFO and I figured I should do a recap on this. For those who have been on my tech blog or read my article "Two New Pages: "Gaming Stats" and "Kindle Clippings List"" then you know what's going on. But for those unaware, I've been mixing gaming scores from PS3 and XBOX 360 with Retro Achievements, which I also talked about in the article "Achievements Are Live on LOKZ.NET"
I decided with today being Day 123 I'd give my readers some info about my set up.
First off, 124 achievements on my modded XBOX 360 which has been a godsend for coming articles, I was lucky enough to mod my console to allow me to extract the profile data, originally I modded the console to deal with a dead disc drive, this led to me having 124 achievements, 1,945 score, most of the big titles for points were Halo CE Anniversary and Halo 3: ODST, followed by Catherine
Yes, that Catherine; the game that was known for being a nightmare, but I luckily finished the game getting the "Normal Lover Ending" giving me 10 XBOX gamer points thanks to the "Just Like Old Times" achievement, part of me wants to go back to that game to 100% and try the other endings but god, that game was a nightmare to finish as it was.
Something I am proud of is that nearly 42% of my achievements come from HALO. See, my gaming history goes back to HALO Reach being my first 360 title after playing HALO 1 and 2 on PC, along with being the first person in my city to have HALO 4 at launch.
I could do a whole article about that night and how everyone was just hyped out while waiting for the clock to strike midnight; I wore my "Property of Project Freelancer" hoodie to that event…but I am getting off track.
The other consoles and key findings from my gaming stats page would be things such as 471 points from PlayStation 2, with most of those points coming from Downhill Domination, the 2003 combat racing game from Incognito Entertainment, which honestly looking back makes sense, when David Jaffe was a key person at the studio, so while Jaffe of Twisted Metal fame didn't work on Downhill Domination, the fact it's people on bikes throwing bottles, using sticks, or just punching people to knock people off their bikes, it makes sense it would come from that kind of environment.
The other titles from PlayStation that were big for me were the Ratchet & Clank franchise.
From the Sega Dreamcast, I was able to get a nice 204 pts for my stats page, one game that I referenced playing in my article "Where's my Crypto Gone" was Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2 for the Sega Dreamcast, which I was shocked was my 2nd highest game right behind Sonic Adventure, but that game is one I've known since childhood, so it was easy to get through all the story modes other than Big the Cat since I hated those fishing mini games as a kid and I still hate them now.
Something that I found funny actually while going through the data was 333 of my total gamer score and 83 achievements came from Sonic titles with 7 games across 3 consoles [4 if you count me trying out Sonic CD on XBOX 360].
A few games I intend to actually finish and get more of a play through for articles would be Moonwalker and The Tick on Genesis; other than those two, I am just excited to see what's coming down the pipeline that I might make an article out of.
See ya...yeah no still need closer
